Position Overview
Tier One Technologies is seeking a UAS Assembly Technician Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing and integration operations for our unmanned aircraft systems. This role oversees assembly technicians, ensures quality and production standards are met, and verifies that every mission-critical unit is properly assembled, tested, and validated before delivery.
The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, leadership experience, and a commitment to precision and accountability in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise UAS assembly and testingstaff during assigned shifts

Train and onboard new technicians
-
Oversee aircraft assembly, wiring, component integration, and final system configuration

Ensure all mission-critical units undergo proper inspection and functional testing prior to release
-
Enforce quality control standards and manufacturing best practices
-
Coordinate with engineering regarding design updates, revisions, and technical issues
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant production environment

Uphold Tier 1 Technologies’ standards of workmanship and professionalism
Qualifications
-
B.S. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred
-
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate preferred

If not currently licensed, candidate must be willing to study independently; Tier One Technologies will cover the cost of the first exam attempt
-
-
18 years of age or older
-
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle
-
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
-
Strong communication and leadership skills

Interest in drone technology and unmanned aviation

This role works under the direction of the UAS Assembly Technician Supervisor and is responsible for assembling, integrating, and testing mission-critical drone systems before they reach our customers.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble unmanned aircraft systems according to technical specifications and work instructions

Perform wiring, component installation, and system integration

Assist with configuration and setup of flight controllers, payloads, and supporting hardware

Conduct functional checks and support testing procedures prior to delivery
-
Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns
-
Maintain a clean and organized production workspace
-
Follow all safety and quality control standards
-
Uphold Tier One Technologies’ standards of workmanship and professionalism
-
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required (technical training or college education preferred)
-
Experience in manufacturing, electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, or related field preferred

Document test results and maintain detailed quality control records

Ensure all outgoing units meet Tier One Technologies’ mission-readiness standards

Uphold safety, compliance, and quality assurance protocols at all times
Qualifications
